Pomene is a remote and wicked, out of the way, beach destination with superb snorkeling and diving.

Pomene is a small paradise reached after a tough one hour long sandy road, located in between Maxixe and Vilanculos. If you need some shops, a fuel station or other tourist facilities you will have to visit the nearest town Massinga, Inhambane. All housing, food and activities have to be arranged by you or by the two resorts, so be prepared. However, they have excellent restaurants, luxurious rooms and activities ranging from scuba diving courses, kayaking, spear-fishing to horseback riding. Its remoteness and dive spots makes it a great honeymoon location and scuba diving destination in Mozambique, perfect for advanced divers who are not only here for diving but can enjoy its fantastic beach and swimming as well.
